Economic Development

Small businesses are the backbone of who we are as a community. Aiea is home to many small businesses who provide jobs for our local residents and contribute to a vibrant community. As a small businessperson myself, I know how impactful state policies such as regulations, taxes, and restrictions can be. As our historic community continues to grow into the 21st century, our legislature must improve access to resources to business that invigorate new and growing industries, provide incentives and programs that help businesses empower and enrich their employees.

–  Support programs that encourage and support new small business owners which in turn creates local jobs for our community
–  Support job creation in all economic/industrial sectors
–  Support bills that specifically improve business climate for “mom and pops” businesses
–   Supporting emerging industries and economic opportunities that will bring jobs for the people of Hawaii
